When Rebecca and Tom first contacted us from Birmingham, they weren’t simply looking for a couples boudoir photographer.

Having been together for six years, they were looking for something completely different to celebrate their relationship. Rather than booking another weekend away or buying one another gifts, they decided they wanted to invest in memories they could look back on for years to come.
After discovering My Beautiful Boudoir Studio online, they loved the variety of photography styles available, the luxury private studio and the relaxed, judgement-free approach that runs through every couples boudoir experience.
Although travelling from Birmingham – less than an hour away by car or train – meant bypassing photographers closer to home, they both agreed it would be worth the journey if it meant achieving the quality of photographs they were hoping for.

A Little Nervous… Just Like Most Couples
Like many couples booking their first couples boudoir photography experience, Rebecca and Tom arrived feeling slightly nervous.
Rebecca was excited. Tom admitted he wasn’t particularly comfortable having his photograph taken.

Rather than jumping straight into intimate photographs, we began with relaxed portrait photography, allowing them to settle into the experience naturally.
Within minutes the conversation was flowing, the laughter had started and the awkwardness they expected simply disappeared.
By the time we introduced more romantic posing, both of them had forgotten there was even a camera in the room.
Why did you decide to book a couples boudoir photoshoot?

“We wanted to do something completely different together. We’d talked about booking a photoshoot for ages but wanted it to feel more personal than traditional portraits.”
Why did you travel from Birmingham?
Tom
“We looked at photographers closer to Birmingham, but after seeing Michael’s work we both felt the style was exactly what we were looking for. It honestly didn’t feel like a difficult decision.”
Were either of you nervous?
Tom
“Definitely me! I genuinely thought I’d be awkward the whole day, but after the first twenty minutes everything just felt really natural.”

“How relaxed everything felt. Nothing was rushed. We were guided through everything and it never felt uncomfortable.”

“We absolutely loved how elegant it looked. It felt more like artwork than simply being nude, which really appealed to us.”
